TEES
DESCRIPTION
The By-Pass Tee body and disc are
constructed of Cor-Ten steel for temperatures below
1000°F and to T-304 stainless steel for temperatures
above 1000°F. Shafts and internal bolting are of
300 series stainless steel, inboard bushings are of
Nitronic 60, lantern glands and packing followers are
stainless steel. Lubricated stuffing boxes have
Alemite purge fittings and braided non-asbestos high
temperature packing with Inconel wire reinforcing.
Predicted leakage rates (as percentages of maximum flow
rates) are 1-1/2 to 2% for metal step seats and 1/2 to 1%
for tadpole seats.
